sometimes I do not realize what i have made till it is made, and some how so far, dioramas i made are centered around deathly, lost, battle-torn, and somehow to connect as a result of a battle... that's probably because i get to collect figures of heroes (especially kamen riders), best portrayed in a battle situation and the outcome of it... so here's another of my old dioramawork, back in 2012 as my third one, the DEAD WOODS. more details after the break
at first i wanted to make a diorama of lively woods, but thinking about the complexity of the composition i decided to make a simpler one (another comfort zone victory~ i gotta get out!)
and the concept was to compose dead woods, stripped out of their lives, their greens, and their vitality to stand up (yeah dead ones does not stand well)
green grasses area signifies the decay to expand slowly from the center and front edges which signified by the rotten leaves (that turned brown from decomposition) and dead old woods
i tried to put a SHFiguarts model in there and it turned out that the woods on the background is not high enough to give a good impression yeah~
quite happy with the randomized but well composed dead woods~
Specifications :
Dimension : 42 cm x 32 cm x 24 cm
Weight : 2,5 kg
Scale : for 1/12 figures
Base : Hardboard Plank
Adhesives : PVC white glue
Props : actual wood branches, actual leaves, green powder (grasses) and small cut cardboard papers (dead leaves)
Others : Sanding paper, clear acrylic lacquer (top coating)
this one does not really satisfy me, and i'm thinking about adding more woods to the background for a better impression of a dead forest, it's not perfect... i hope i can improve better in the near future
that's it for my third handmade diorama, and i'll be posting more in the near future, feedbacks are especially welcomed... so don't hesitate to write what's on your mind, even if it's the worst~
Thanks for Viewing and... until NEXT time!!!
